For the majority of our courses at Victoria University (VU), your ATAR is not considered in our admissions process.

Our admissions process is simple - all you need to do is:

  • ensure you have met the relevant prerequisites (listed on the course page)
  • preference us through VTAC or apply direct depending on your circumstances.

Courses that do not require an ATAR for entry are listed on this page. We also offer a small number of courses that do require an ATAR.

We have many stories of VU graduates whose course has not required an ATAR and they have achieved remarkable success in their studies and careers.

No ATAR required – TAFE courses

Our TAFE courses do not require an ATAR for entry, but do have a literacy and numeracy assessment, and other requirements in some cases. Check the course page for more detail.
