    Overview

This unit has been developed to provide students with an understanding of advanced concepts in leadership and human resources management applied to the specific context of high performing teams. As graduates of a Master degree, students will enter a workplace which is typically very challenging and unstable in nature. This unit will provide the students with both the theoretical knowledge and practical tools to appreciate their own leadership style and improve the way they interact with other staff members and manage group dynamics. The assessments will require students to integrate the acquired knowledge with the available scientific literature as well as their personal experiences.

This unit will be offered within a study tour as part of a 5-year partnership agreement between Victoria University and the Real Madrid Graduate School/UEM. The partnership includes different activities focussed on staff and student mobility and it extends onto other courses within the College of Sport and Exercise Science. This unit will be part of a set of two units offered in a 2-week residential period.
