It provides participants with a foundational awareness and understanding of basic presentation skills.
At the completion of the workshop, you will be able to:
- plan a presentation, including content structure
- describe the target audience for a presentation
- identify presentation tools and aids.
Learning outcomes
This professional development program is offered to individuals, who are seeking to develop and enhance their foundational awareness and understanding of basic presentation skills.It is anticipated that the participants will be existing workers with a range of experiences in diverse workplace contexts.
The program is delivered over a one (1) day workshop via an online platform, facilitator led delivery will provide an overview of platform being utilised and expectations of participation whilst ensuring any participant technology issues are addressed. This course will be facilitated via webinar or zoom scheduled times, including short videos, and electronic resources provided to participants and involves group discussions to support the key principles related to presentation skills.
At the completion of the workshop participants will be able to:
- Plan a presentation, including content and structure
- Describe the target audience for a presentation
- Identify presentation tools and aids
- Give a short presentation within the group on a topic of choice

The program requires participants to have basic level computer skills to access and operate the online learning software to navigate a webpage and find information, attend a webinar using zoom or webex for online delivery. If the course is being delivered face-to-face onsite, computer access is not required.
