Our researchers have diverse experience in collaborating with government and industry to find innovative ways of addressing a broad range of crucial issues. They are drawn from a pool of leading computer scientists, educators, engineers, economists, environmental scientists, lawyers, policy influencers and social investigators who conduct important research to produce first-rate outcomes.

'VU Rise' Innovation Hubs address key themes identified by our communities as critical to positioning the west of Melbourne strongly for the future.
The Hubs form a network of people, spaces and services that connect research, education, government, industry partners and the community with the specific aim of creating a future that aligns with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals to create powerful synergies and uplift communities.
