Overview

Learn how to provide an appropriate response to family violence risk in the Course in Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk at Victoria University.

You will learn to identify and respond to the risk of family violence. This includes developing your skills in:

  • screening
  • risk assessment and management
  • information sharing
  • referral.

This course is ideal for community service workers who do not have family violence as a core function of their role but who may encounter survivors and perpetrators through their interactions with children, families and adults.

Course contents

In order to be issued a Statement of Attainment for the 22510VIC Course in Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk, a student must successfully undertake the following unit(s):

Learn how to provide an appropriate response to family violence risk in the Course in Identifying and Responding to Family Violence Risk.
You will learn to identify and respond to the risk of family violence, including skills in screening, risk assessment and management, information sharing, and referral.
This course is ideal for community service workers who do not have family violence as a core function of their role however may encounter survivors and perpetrators through their interactions with children, families and adults.
