Overview
The Construction Induction (White Card) TNAAA allows you to legally access construction and building sites across Victoria, equipped with the necessary on-site safety knowledge.
This course includes the nationally accredited unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry. On successful completion, you can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for the Construction Induction (White Card).

To be issued a Statement of Attainment for TNAAA Construction Induction (White Card), a student must successfully complete the core unit.
Course structure and units
CORE UNIT
Unit in Transition
Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Credit Transfers
Previous completion of units at the Polytechnic or any other Registered Training Organisation and/or previous attainment of skills and knowledge may be credited towards this course.
Learning outcomes
A construction induction (White Card) allows holders to legally access construction and building sites across Victoria, equipped with the necessary on-site safety knowledge. This course includes the nationally accredited unit of competency CPCCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry, and covers the following topics:
• construction hazards and control measures;
• OHS communication and reporting processes;
• safety signs and symbols;
• OHS incident response procedures;
• PPE and Fire safety equipment;
• OHS legislative requirements, and;
• safe work practices.
On successful completion of this course, students can apply to WorkSafe Victoria for the Construction Induction Card.

Meeting the minimum admission requirements does not guarantee you entry into this course. Some courses receive more applications than the number of places available. In this situation we will also assess your education, work and other relevant experience.

All applicants must complete Pre-Training review as part of the application process to determine suitability.
It is a Worksafe Victoria directive that interpreters or electronic or personal translator apps or devices must not be used.
Students must have the basic language and literacy skills to be able to participate in the course and assessments. The trainer will assess these skills prior to enrolment through a pre-training assessment.
