Course contents
In order to be issued a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency(s) within TNCL1 Class 1 Restricted Electrical Fault Finding Licence, a student must successfully completed the core units.

CORE UNITS
Recognition of Prior Learning and/or Credit Transfers
Previous completion of units at the Polytechnic or any other Registered Training Organisation and/or previous attainment of skills and knowledge may be credited towards this course. Units must satisfy the completion rules
Learning outcomes
Ensure workplace safety with this course in Class 1 Fault Finding Licence for Appliances.
You will develop technical skills and knowledge in the:
- diagnosing faults in low-voltage electrical equipment
- working safely on electrical equipment
- using electrical testing and measurement equipment and testing electrical equipment as per Australian Standards AS / NZS 3000 and AS / NZS 4836.

As part of the application process, applicants must complete a Pre-training Review (PTR) to determine suitability for admission.
Applicants must hold a Class 2 Disconnect/ Reconnect Restricted Electrical License, and must have completed units:

UEECD0007 Apply work health and safety regulations, codes and practices in the workplace and
- UEERL0004 Disconnect - reconnect electrical equipment connected to low voltage (LV) installation wiringEvidence of completion of units will be required to be provided during the enrolment process.
All applicants should contact Energy Safe Victoria (ESV) on 1800 815 721 to seek approval to attend the Electrical Workers licence course prior to commencing studies.
