An academic transcript is an official record of your studies at Victoria University.

It represents a true account of results achieved in each unit that you undertake at Victoria University. It also includes units of study which have been granted Advanced Standing or Recognition of Prior Learning. 

Transcripts are available in digital or hard copy format. You will receive a digital version of your academic transcript when you complete your course.

If you would like a copy at any other stage during your study, you can order a copy for a small cost. You can access a list of your units and results at any time via MyVU.

Graduating students

Higher Education

You'll receive a link to a complimentary digital version of your transcript after you graduate. The link is sent via email to your personal email address, or your VU email address if you haven't registered a personal one with us.

If you would like a hard copy of your transcript you will need to purchase it. To do so follow the instructions in the section below, Purchasing academic transcripts.

If you are not attending a graduation ceremony, you'll receive details of how to obtain your digital academic transcript when:

  • you collect your certificate from your nominated VUHQ or
  • you receive your certificate in the post.

TAFE

If you're graduating from a TAFE course you will receive a complimentary hard copy testamur by post, as well as a link to the complimentary digital version of your academic transcript via email after you have been conferred.

Purchasing academic transcripts

To purchase an academic transcript as a current or past student, or for a TAFE student to purchase a statement of attainment:

Exchange & Study Abroad students

Please follow the same procedure as other VU students on how to obtain a copy of your transcripts.

Past students

If you are a pre-1982 VU student or pre-1991 WMIT student please allow up to four weeks for your transcripts to be produced.

Statement of attainment - TAFE students only

As well as their academic transcript, TAFE students can purchase a statement of attainment, which lists the units passed for courses recognised within the Australian Qualifications Framework.

It is produced on official Victoria University stationery with a unique security foil embedded in the paper.

The statement is only available in hard copy.

Please note that Victoria University does not accept responsibility for delays in the delivery of your transcript and all costs are in Australian dollars.

All Students pre-2001

  • Additional hard copies - $18 each
  • Digital version - N/A

Fee for first copy is not refundable if no records are found, as a manual search of our archives is required. Additional copies must be requested at the same time.

Please allow 48 hours for your request to be processed from receipt of your application. Pre-1991 WMIT and pre-1982 VU students, please allow a minimum of four weeks for the transcripts or statements to be produced.

Online statement of results

You can print an online statement of results from the MyVU after results are released for that semester. This is an official VU document and you can access this information as often as required.

Most institutions will not accept an online statement of results

Please note that most institutions will require a hard-copy or digital academic transcript or a letter of completion.

Access your online statement of results:

  1. Log in to MyVU
  2. Navigate to the Results week in the top slider
  3. Click 'results'
  4. Select Get PDF Version
  5. Print page.
